Yoga and Ayurveda are supreme tools in preparing the body as a fertile vessel, as well as repairing the body after a birth experience.  They also happen to be great practices for preventing or minimizing many of the common discomforts in pregnancy. 

The practices of yoga and ayurveda during pregnancy are safe, gentle methods of achieving a variety of beneficial results, including building strength, balance, energy, flexibility, and to promote circulation, aiding digestion, and encouraging positive attitudes.

With it’s focus on breathing, yoga can help the mother-to-be in the moment with stress reduction, anxiety, and insomnia.  Yoga practice teaches awareness in the moment, and this mindfulness can facilitate the journey through trying to get pregnant, labor, delivery, and the postnatal period.
